Im not so sure about that, he is very tentative, and doesn't really have the the kind of outside technical skills of 2 time gold medalist.

In the AMA's he was able to get by stopping everyone left and right because he was able to walk in with ear muffs and put together very accurate combinations to get people standing counts.

I don't think he will ever be able to box and move from the outside for 12 rounds to win fight, which is what will be required for him to succeed without power.

It is very clear after last night that he doesn't have the power, AT ALL. It wasn't even a situation where he was throwing hard and Salido just has a great chin. Loma is just visibly is an arm puncher, with no snap.

He just unfortunately doesn't have the power to make the kind of aggressive style is is famous for work in the Pro ranks.

      I had 115-113 Salido.

      1: Lomo
      2: Salido
      3: Salido
      4: Salido
      5: Lomo
      6: Salido
      7: Salido
      8: Salido
      9: Salido
      10: Lomo
      11: Lomo
      12: Lomo

Clearly, Lomachenko's handlers underestimated Orlando, but they weren't that far off.
Really, he only lost because he's still stuck in an amateur style and mindset he needs to be trained out of. If he sits on some punches and throws out a jab, he could have won.

Going 12 rounds with Orlando Salido is a huge jump in the growing process. He's not world class yet, but this fight suggests he will be soon enough.

Lomachenko is very good and will win a title. This fight taught me 2 things

          1. He needs an American trainer

          2. He is very good but is not Roy Jones or mayweather good and will never be.

I'm not saying he is this good or will be this good, but neither of those guys would have beat an Orlando Salido type pro in their second fight either. It's so ****** for anyone to act like this proves Lomachenko can't ever be very good. If anything, it proved the opposite.

If Roy Jones or Floyd Mayweather had fought for the title in their 2nd fight they would have lost. Hell Mayweather had a hard time with Jesus Cavez who is no where near Salcido Talent hell he even lost to Castillo but we know how that came out. I don't of any fighter who was a ranked amateur winning a title in their 2nd pro fight so as Roger say's you don't know ****ttt about boxing

Salido was treated disrespectfully, but he showed skills and habits that only years, YEARS, as a pro can teach. This was a shot Salido, fighting by memory, using tricks that others used on him. He didn't invent the tactics, he wasn't born like that. He went to school and now Lomachenko has been schooled. Had Salido been 100%, he would have hurt him. Lomachenko has a long way to go, or does he? There is no rush now. I bet he doesn't get or want another title chance anytime soon.

I agree with much of what you're saying, Shawn; but, let's not forget, the kid took a massive leap in fighting a veteran champ in only his second pro fight. Lomo hasn't built up his game, and we saw the effects of that last night. I think, with some time, Vasyl will develop into a pro champion himself.

I agree 100 % with this opinion. Salido was disrespected and even some betting odds had him as an underdog by 6-1.
