GGG is another ****ing overrated "unknown" fighter from a foreign exotic country that all the dumb hipster boxing fans love to overhype...They can't root for your typical Black American or Mexican-Puerto Rican Hispanic fighter since they are commonly seen in boxing and not unique or cool enough...So we got to root for this exotic dude from some random country that has knocked out a bunch of nobodies because it makes him seem so special and badass to the casual fans.

GGG is way to slow and 1 dimensional to ever beat someone like Ward or Quillin or Hopkins.....I even think Kirkland could beat him in a brawl.

      Does Ward want this fight?

Will you buy it if it is on PPV?

      Will it generate tremendous buzz?

Will it be a HUGE fight for boxing?

      Would I love this fight?

Yes, to all of the above...and so would everyone else. Boxing needs more of these 2 guys who will fight anyone.

      Ward vs Chavez Jr..yes please

      GGG vs Sergio.Cotto winner...yes please

Point is Ward vs anyone good or GGG vs anyone are both must see tv events. Neither has ever ducked anyone and thier willingness to fight anyone is what the sport deserves and needs more of !!!

Who needs Ward anyway? GGG sure doesn't. Ward barely has a fan base, is coming off injuries and is one of the most inactive undefeated fighters out there. Should they fight? Yes...sometime. Nobody really cares about Ward right now.

          Kirkland? Ishidas son?
Quillin? The guy who nearly lost to Rosado and won via a bogus stoppage and possibly robbery on the judges cards?
Hopkins? Currently a light heavyweight , that fight is out of the question.
As for Ward yes I believe he would beat Golovkin as his style is a nightmare.

As for GGG being 1 dimensional you're not watching his technicalities you're only observing his punching power. Anyone who has power in the game and stomps their opponent out as early as possible is considered one dimensional according to 'slick boxing' fans.

GGG is currently ducking Lara, he's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. He's fighting bums and KO's them just like he's supposed to do. This way he can make a living off of fans that think boxing is supposed to be slugging, these guys always lose to a supperior boxer. If you are in that boat that says Floyd's cherrypicking (although his last 20+ fight have been against current champions or former champions), then what must you think of this guy? He's gonna lose badly against ward and his people know it, his fans know it...let them have fun and enjoy it, its gonna crash down just like "The Machine" did last year for them.

              2) Ward is not some kind of cash cow, and opponents aren't exactly lining up to fight him. He is practically begging people way beneath him for a fight (Groves and Chavez Jr.). So he might as well fight GGG if he gets the chance. He needs that fight more than GGG.
well Rodriguez made plenty and lost like half of it to ward

It annoys me when people say this about some fighters but not about others. GGG vs Ward is a fight a lot of people want, why argue about him deserving it or not? Seems ****** to me. It's like the guys who argue about PPV cuts and purse splits etc...Whatever man...

Granted, some big name fighters get fights out of the blue that they may not be totally deserving of ( ex. Haye getting a Wlad fight...) but so what, do you want to see these boxers fight each other or not man?

He is the best middleweight in the world. He is exciting and popular and he knocks out damn near everybody he fights. But why would anyone have to earn a fight with Ward? Ward has an ugly dirty fighting style. He is not popular and he is not a big money fight for anyone. If they fought GGG would bring more fans to the fight than Ward would. If Ward won't fight or wants too much money there are better paying fights GGG could try to get.

I don't think Ward is such a cash cow that a good fighter like GGG needs to do so much to earn that fight. If anything Ward should be looking to pad that record with some intimidating fighters like GGG so that his star power can grow....like Garcia did with Lucas.
