does he stand a chance against mayweather? i dont think so, unless mayweather gets old overnight or gets seriously complacent, this will be a boring sparring session that floyd want you to pay for.

iv nothing against chino, i hope he does well, but he isnt exactly inspiring confidence.
Have you seen these videos of Marcos Maidana?

    What do you think?

This is the only way in which Alexander "won" ("won" ) that fight. I'm not saying it doesnt happen a lot, but put an impartial ref. in there and you'd still be looking for pieces of Alexander's corpse in there.
Since then Maidana got stronger and fights smarter, managing to keep one of his arms free during these clinches and bashing away even then. You could see this several times against Broner.
Floyd will go for something like this along with constant pushing, heel of the hand face shoving (you know, the part of the glove that isnt cushioned) and of course his speed, skill and craftiness. But I still dont think it will be an easy fight. If Maidana is in perfect shape to keep up the rate of fire he had against Broner he can get the KO he needs to win.
Alexander and Khan both beat Maidana up pretty clearly..

I don't think Maidana is overrated or underrated..Maidana(imo)is looked at as a very good/dangerous opponent for anyone..I don't see him being a threat to May(different class of fighter),but anyone else at 147lb..Look out..

Maidana is good, people give him the credit his resume shows. Hes not as good as Alexander and he nearly was as good as khan but not quite as good.
He is better than Broner, and Broner is below Alexander and khan.

So Maidana is given the respect he deserves.

Well, you should watch it, you'd learn a thing or two.

Still Butt hurt much? Come on guys, with the awful form Khan has shown in his last four fights you cant expect a Mayweather fight.

I'm starting to think punchr is a member of team Maidana. I know you like the guy, but get off Maidana's jock, he needs to train.

Eh, he's not that far off. I mean, Khan did beat Maidana.

The Khan/Maidana thing is touchy. It's like, Khan would probably be more competitive, but Maidana, right now, is 100% more deserving.

In terms of fighting who deserves it (which is constantly demanded of Mayweather) he made the right choice, imo.

If I had to choose one or the other, he's slightly underrated.

                      yes he is.

but that's because its typical nsb bull****. Since floyd is fighting him he has to be trashed by the ptards and stricly floyd haters.

I guarantee you maidana will stun or hurt floyd at least once come their fight and has a great chance of knocking down maybe knocking out floyd.

                      He murders prime hatton.
