Its amazing me how people are always jiz1ing over heavy punchers like these guys would beat floyd. The punch that can bother Floyd is a good, stiff jab (cotto, DLH), power punches wont do **** against him since they dont land. Believe me Floyd is really happy to fight Maidana right now
I give Floyd credit for accepting the fight, period. Maidana's form has been impressive lately. Problem is there are too many perusers of dusty old footage that dont realize the world aint static, its dynamic. Same goes for Maidana. What you knew about him 4 years ago has changed. Get with the learning curve or get left behind.

    so which are you?

I think people understand the limitations of Maidana against a fighter like Floyd. It is going to be a shut out for Floyd.

Not knocking the fight, I think Khan would have been more interesting for Floyd stylistically but Maidana is a decent fighter, but I still give Maidana no chance.

Hopefully Lara can build any/some form of fanbase that would be a intriguing matchup

Unless Maidana does his best Jesus Chavez impression. Dont let Floyd breathe. Did you even see that fight? I know its outside the knowledge boundary of the average boxing fan, but Floyd was in deep against Chavez. Could easily see Chavez winning the fight if he had had more power and better angles.

For some reason, Chino has been usually underestimated. This explains that kind of misleading new view about Broner, who just yesterday was the next Mayweather and, after he lost to Chino, has become almost a bum.

They say Chino proved Broner was not the next Mayweather. Well, maybe he will prove Mayweather is not Muhammad Ali...

You realize youre talking about a 23 years old Mayweather right ?! You really think this is the same fighter he is today ?

No. He's smarter now.. but also less athletic. Which is key. Thing is a Jesus Chavez grueling grinding rough rugged type of style is exhausting for a boxer. I find it hard to believe a 38 year old Mayweather can stay on his toes for 12 rounds against a guy that is committed to the body, walking through Mayweather's shots, and throwing over a thousand punches. Eventually even the great May will become leg weary and be forced to stand his ground and pit his frame against Marcos's onslaught. THATS where things will get very interesting.

I guarantee you maidana will stun or hurt floyd at least once come their fight and has a great chance of knocking down maybe knocking out floyd.

                He murders prime hatton.

Not at all the case here. Criticism of Broner was marked before he even stepped in the ring with Maidana on this forum. Most everyone knew he was flatfooted and nothing like Mayweather in any sense barring his misuse/overuse of the Philly Shell.

These are the same pukes that picked lopez and broner to outbox him. And if they are old enough, they picked Ortiz over him too. By definition, a fighter that proves a bunch of know nothing know it alls wrong every time out is UNDERRATED. he is used to the underdog slot though its all good.
I think it's this... A lot of older boxing fans have a prejudice against the brawling style.

The fact that Maidana is world class with his style tells you a lot about his God-given talent as a fighter. He's a natural.
