i have some casuals that know a lil bit but not too much


but i do have two good friends that are into like i am...one is this older dude at a bar i watch games at...he's like 70 and has tons and tons of old boxing tapes..and i have a homey who moved up to Oakland...we still text about upcoming fights

the guy really knows his stuff..i remember stopping by the bar a few months ago and he was all hyped for the Broner-Maidana fight...he called that fight...i thought Broner was gonna outpoint Maidana but he insisted that Broner's bad fundamentals are ready to be exposed by any brawler with real power

I got fooled by that fight too. Thing is Broner had just so much greater hand speed. When he threw, Maidana did not know wtf to do.
But problem is, he didn't throw. And you have to keep a guy like that thinking.

Like the fans who spend 2013 hyping up Lucas Matthysse and to start 2014 I barely hear about the guy anymore.

It is a reason why these Forums kinda go dead until a big fight is getting ready to happen

No one around me knows jack ****. One guy at work was like 'yeah i love boxing! Watch all the fights!' I was like 'pac taking on margarito is insane' he just looked blankly and said 'oh i dont know those two...' What a boner kill that was.
