Maidana has fast hands and throws lots of punches from all angles. He is the underdog for sure but so is everybody who fights Mayweather. Maidana earned the fight by beating the hell out of Broner so clearly Maidana has some good speed and skill. If you like Maidana then just root for him to win instead of calling the fight a mismatch. All of boxing's many upsets were considered upsets because the fight was thought to be a mismatch. I am just glad the guy who earned the fight got the fight. I hope Maidana is very well paid because he will fight his heart out.

      Great point.

No way. Guerrero is the biggest high profile, wtf fight out there for me. Never understood that fight. Guerrero didn't even remotely have name value. Maidana has name value dating back to his destruction of the "supposed" next superstar in Ortiz.

Guerrero makes Maidana look slick and fast. Guerrero got the fight by beating Berto. He might as well of beat a dead horse. Even Karass made easy work of Berto. Then to fight and beat Berto the way he did and come out and try to "Box" Mayweather. Another huge WTF surrounding that fight.

Besides Guerrero being a little rangier, there is no aspect of boxing or physical traits that Garcia has on Maidana.

He can face Lara. There is absolutely nothing preventing that fight.

Yes Mayweather/Guerrero was a huge mismatch but i'd say this one is an even greater mismatch.

So everyone saying yes, name one thing that Guerrero could have done to win the Floyd fight? His only chance was to outwork him, and he didn't even try that. I understand that the guy he was in the Berto fight isn't who he had been in every other fight, but that was his only chance.

I won't even get into who would win between Guerrero and Maidana. That's a triangle theory in a way. I think Maidana white washes Guerrero, but still, pointless in who has the better chance against Floyd.

Maidana possesses the only thing between the two that could win this fight for them and that is power.

I understand people hate Floyd (as d I), but discrediting Maidana as if he's Guerrero level is disrespectful to him. Guerrero is a slow, average boxer, with no power.

I agree. All respect to Chino he's gonna bring the fight I'm sure he'll Pressure Floyd the first few rounds like Hatton did. But let's face it he's a fighter with no footwork on top of that he has to plant his feet in order for him to get some decent shots in. Those are only 2 attributes of many needed to beat Floyd. Floyds gonna be making him turn his body thru out the fight and capitalize on it. Chinos only chance to win is to go in there rough him up from the get go make the fight as dirty as you can and hurt Floyd with a Haymaker and FINISH HIM!! ( mortal kombat voice )
