First, cotto is pound for pound a harder puncher than both Chavez and pavlik. At the same weight class, I'm sure cotto hits harder. Second, Chavez caught Martinez with one good combo and we seen what it did to Martinez. If he had more time he would've finished Martinez. Third, he fought pavlik like 5 years ago. It's absolutely absurd to suggest that Cotto is a bigger puncher than Chavez and Pavlik. Cotto has shown that he's an above average puncher at 154. Pavlik and Chavez have shown the ability to hurt and knockout middleweights. Cotto's a good boxer, but he's displayed certain weaknesses that Martinez can exploit. The Trout fight laid out the blueprint on how to beat Cotto. Martinez will fire that straight to the body just like Trout did. He'll move just like Trout did. He'll jab just like Trout did. He'll smother on the inside just like Trout did. And he'll do all of it better than Trout did. What gameplan would be best for Cotto to use to beat Martinez, in your opinion?

Hes dellusional.. mind you im a BIG BIG BIG Cotto fan.. Cotto hits harder than Pavlik & Chavez Jr... man... not sure what is Cottos gameplan.. Martinez is very athletic.. but his health has been detoriating lately... and if anyone knows boxing.... Freddie Roach teachs ZERO Defense.. and Cotto cuts and swells easy nowadays... but if Martinez isnt himself i think Cotto should press the action and hopefully try to win a decision.

Sergio took punches from bigger men like Pavlik, Chavez Jr, and others... have a hard time believing Cotto can hurt him.... But if hes not mobile he will getting hit more than usual.

As far as I can remember Martinez did not take Chavez Jr's punches very well.

Na seriously before him.. and 1 eye Margarito (which i went too live) he hasnt shown his power lately.. trust me.. im a big cotto fan.. i ll be there live... not sure how healthy Martinez is, so i do think Cotto has a chance.
