Why does that make him ******ed? It honestly is a waste of time for Mayweather to keep fighting welterweights. Yea i get that its his weight and he champ there but he's not every other fighter. He wants to be considered the greatest ever then he needs to take chances to be great. Basically right now he can continue to cruise to decisions against welters and theres nothing wrong with that, but then don't try and stake your claim as the best ever.

As far as Lara, yea the guy doesn't have a big fan base but its no smaller than Guerrero's was

Best case scenario Maidana lands a Mosley round 2 type shot and the crowd goes nuts.
Outside of that, Floyd will be pot shotting and running all night. No way he tries and ****s with Maidana, that's Chino's only shot.

They also fought tentative, got drawn into trying to outbox Mayweather. Maidana doesn't do that. Canelo doesn't have that much power either. He has a history of failing to hurt smaller fighters even while landing clean.

As someone mentioned, Maidana threw 419 and landed 93 against Alexander. That's tentative.

Also, size matters. If Canelo and Maidana fought each others resumes their K.O. % would look different. Maidana isn't cracking Floyd.

This right here and it would be a hell of a fight..which is all we want. To spend $70 to see a competition not a shutout/showcase. Lara can box..I see people always making excuses when Floyd can potentially face someone who can box and isn't over the hill. I like Floyd and i've supported his rise for a long time but the last real boxer he fought was......it's been so damn long now.

Maidana is 4 fights into Garcia, and is clearly an improved fighter.

But, regardless of that, it's a horrible comparison. Alexander was allowed to hold 20 times a rd.
