And next week your tell us how Floyd is gonna get knocked outTypical fight, slow, flat footed Mainada gets countered all night by a chicken runner. Maidana has no following. He only beat Broner who also had no following. Just cause Maidana beat a big mouth doesn't mean this fight will sell big numbers. No one wants to see this mismatch.Comment

This. I really don't understand the butthurt. Not sure who else the detractors expect Floyd to fight: Manny obviously ain't happening anytime soon, for myriad reasons, and Lara, although very skilful, has no following and operates at 154, which history shows us is a weight Floyd will only go to for HUGE showdown superfights (in reality he's a mid-sized welterweight, he can't even hit 154 when gorging on fast food for Christ's sake!). Maidana deserves the shot, and has added to his arsenal under Garcia. I expect him to come up short, but he will put up a spirited effort and has a puncher's chance. GBP will know they have to stack the undercard too. I'm hoping they make Khan-Broner.Comment

I would have been fine with either Khan or Maidana in there. Khan probably would've done better with his speed, but then there's that chin. Maidana is much better than he was even 2-3 years ago, and I'm sure he won't do like Canelo and try to outbox Floydie. He isn't that ******. I would guess he goes for the kill immediately. Then there's the chance that the ref will have some say about the outcome.... if Maidana gets a pathetic Joe Cortez style ref he has no chance. If he gets a Steve Smoger style ref he at least has a puncher's chance. And a small ring would help Maidana... but I'd guess you can wish for the moon and have a better chance of that happening.
Bottom line... wouldn't it be fun if Maidana connected with one big shot.Comment
