If GB & Sho were fixing fights, then Broner would have beat Maidana. They were banking on Broner as one of, if not THE, PPV star of their future after Floyd.
Instead he got urinated on in front of the entire boxing world.
That's why they were so butthurt afterwards and canceled their All Access epilogue. That right there is all the evidence I need to know that they're not fixing ****.Comment

I love how before the fight Broner was too fast, too skilled and just too good for flat footed and slow Maidana, but the second after Maidana hunts down and beats the sht out of the faster more skilled "baby Floyd", Broner is the worst fighter to ever set foot on a ring. I'll tell you something, Floyd is better than Broner for sure, but I doubt Floyd would have been able to take the beating Broner took for 12 rounds.Comment

Oh , they are fixed, but there's so much they can do. They are fixed regarding the ref., taking points away from Maidana yet not taking a single one from Broner that made 10 times the fouls Maidana did. At a point Broner was throwing as many elbows as he was throwing punches. Had Maidana been cut or KO with one of those he would have lost the fight and Broner would not have been DQ. How about plain an simple punching Maidana in the face after the bell? He could have KO him right there, thank God Maidana is a tough guy. Then you have the slow counts, the ref. pushing boxers away to buy the protected boxer more time to recover and of course you have robbery in the score cards, something that happens way to often. Because of all these things Broner had a significant advantage that could have gotten him a win. Just like Danny Garcia got away with punching Matthysse in the balls all night when he wasnt deliberately and constantly clinching, or how Floyd gets away with constantly pushing and showing his glove in opponents faces without ever losing a point. If GB & Sho were fixing fights, then Broner would have beat Maidana. maidana has been fouled in almost all his fights.!! the ref never cares what happens to him
khan held and pushed almost as much as Broner, devon clutched him like his favorite blanket. credit to khan and ab for fighting the war but they were fouling hard, couldnt keep him off of them!!Comment

Yeah, I feel ya. I think we'd be nuts to think that there isn't any sort of influencing going on. I believe that in the mainstream sports as well -- it's better for the leagues when teams like the Lakers, Yankees, etc. are prospering. Higher ratings means dollar signs and the marquee teams get higher ratings, therefore (at least IMO) are more likely to get favorable calls. 50/50 calls will go their way. I don't doubt that boxing is any different.Oh , they are fixed, but there's so much they can do. If it's a close fight or a 50/50 fight the A side will get the benefit of the doubt in the majority of cases.Comment

that's true ..... ref was bad to let that happen
If it gets out of hand, ref needs to step in and stop that nonsense right away!. People don't watch or pay to see a guy holding for 12 rounds!Comment

Guerreros fight with Floyd is underrated IMO. He didn't come to lay down. He was there to fight, saw what he needed to do and did it but Floyd was just too many steps ahead.i think guerrero > maidana at the time they both fought floyd
i know maidana beat soto karass and lopez but come on dude. those guys are good not great. guerrero atleast i think had 1 loss that was controversial if i can remember. he looked badazz in his fights with preceding the mayweather bout. we never saw guerrero take a schooling like he did against mayweather. we already SAW maidana take a schooling from a lesser boxer, devon alexander. theres a differnet between champion and titleholder. we all know hwo the true champions are in boxing.Comment
