Plus, Frazier woudl go on to win the WBA crown off Ellis, remember there were only 2 titles at the time, WBA and WBC and the WBC title, vacant at the time ,was also on the line.

Quarry, Bonavena, Ellis, Mathis and even Chuvalo were all world top 10 ranked heavies. Who else was he supposed to fight?

In the 70s we can say that he should have fought Shavers, Norton, Lyle and a few others but Frazier was very inactive post 71, fighting only 10 times in 10 years. In that time he faced Ali and Foreman twice each. Quality > Quantity. Yes he lots but he was all but done by 73.

Oh and Frazier holds an impressive win over foster, yes he was a LHW but it was common for guys to move up to challenge HW champs back then.

I don't see any problem in Frazier's work.
Yeah, and Wlad holds impressive wins over Mormeck, Haye, Chambers, etc.

Ali won the first fight in many peoples opinion. That leaves Jerry Quarry as Frazier's highlight reel win.

I doubt even 15% of people that log onto this site believe Ali won the first fight wityh Frazier ... but I guess if Ali won the first fight you could downplay Frazier as a good win for Ali as you tend to do on a day to day basis yet claim Sam Peter is some ring Legend just to boast up your Hero and S**k him some more

Mormock had no buisness fighting Wlad,it was pathetic,Wlad couldn't finish Haye or even land the right hand more than five times the whole fight and Haye even proved he was injured at the end which makes Wlads win look even worse considering the weight advantage and you consider Chambers an Impressive win??? lol E.Steward was ashamed of Wlad in that fight and rightly so

So who is on Wlads highlight reel?? Wach?Pinata?Povetkin??? god you're such a fanboy

Fraziers right hand, yes right hand has done more in Boxing than Wlad has ever done

The experts on these boards often cite Foreman as Ali's best win.

Surely if he was so past his prime against Frazier, an almost completely shot Ali that defeated the beast that Foreman was is more impressive than any current HW could do

You beat an ATG, you become an ATG. You beat a legend, you become a legend.

Robbed? How so? The fight didn't go to points and if it had, Ali was well ahead by now, heck he was well ahead by the 12th round. It was turning into an ugly beating, I'm glad it was stopped.

LOL none of those guys are on the same level as Foster, he is one of the ATG LHWs.

And I'm possibly the biggest Ali fan here but noway did he win the first fight, I have it a lot closer than most, 8-6-1 for Frazier. But it wasn't a win for Ali.
