Hopkins doesn't need that WBO belt to be an undisputed light middleweight champion of the world.

The WBO is a major world title and now a days you have to have that title to be undisputed in the eyes of the boxing world. Ring Magazine/WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO = Undisputed
And IBO for an added bonus although it is not one of the 4 major world titles recognized by the IIHOF.

get Shumenov's belt and call it a career
don't want him hanging around too long and getting beaten up
Even the MORE reason for him to either face Stevenson or Kovalev. The underdog role against the new, exciting fighters who are the talk of NSB.

Hopkins is going to get old eventually , Shumenov will make it tougher than expected but hard to imagine him getting a win.

I think both those guys hurt Hopkins.

This fight is winnable but it's going to be boring, clinch, clinch, clinch, pot shot, rabbit punch lol

Hopkins by SD. Let's hope Smoger ain't ref this time.

People forget that Hopkins (as a star) chose Shumenov. It means that he sees weaknesses in him and ability to win. That's it. Just business.

Don't be fool thinking that boxing becomes better. And fighters no matter of risks want fight each other.
