And people wonder why boxing is so insignificant.
Boxing is so insignificant!!! uh hmmm, let me see last year the bigest, gross money maker fight happened along with the best rating seen in years, avearaging over 1mill viewers...and you say boxing is insignificant? Stop regurgitating, what others so call experts had said, and use facts....and your brain for that matter.

Pretty soon he will be having popularity contests , instead of boxing matches because being good at what you do is not important any more. So if you are a good boxer from a small country you are screwed . But if you such and are from a country large enough ,hey you are the next PPV star. What happened to just fighting the best to prove yourself. This is why Boxing is going down the toilet.
another prime example of reguggitaiting crap other people say, get it to your heads people boxing is healty and thriving that is the clear facts/numbers.

Miguel Cotto (PUR) small country: star.
Timothy Bradley (USA) large country: not a star
Miguel Vasquez (MEX) large country: not a star
Sergio Martinez (ARG) large country: not a star

And everything is pretty much a popularity contest. What do you think the NBA would rather have Indiana and Portland in the finals or Miami vs Oklahoma?

That's why Schaefer is no different from Arum. I never understood why some clowns here want Rigondeux to leave Arum, as if Schaefer will treat him better.

Oh wow, 1 million viewers for what used to be the biggest sport on the planet? That's really something compared to the 20 million that watch the NFL every week!

Boxing is like the 4th or 5th biggest sport in most countries. That's best case scenario in the U.S., it might actually be lower than that.

An exciting loss is much more important and a boring win. If I have to pay $54 to watch a fight, I'd rather watch an Angulo/Canelo fight over a boring Trout/Lara style of fight.

              It's just the truth.
Me too, it's been a couple of times since on the cinco de mayo weekend we throw parties, and have to watch Floyd skills for 12 rds. Frankly I'm tired of Floyd and would rather see PAC or Canelo on the cinco de mayo weekend.

So you are saying the NBA is fixed and so is boxing.

Dude , you are the one talking crapp if you don't see through Schaefers ploy to protect his cash cow Canelo from another ass whipping , this time by Lara. So he is trying to sell this garbage about exciting and boring crap to justify it.

This is a good fight. Angulo actually impressed me more vs Lara than Canelo did vs Mayweather.

I only support Molina, hope he can beat the piss out of the Charlo, tough fight for him and even if he pulls through he'll most likely get robbed.
He won a title off ishe smith who won it off K-9 Bundrage and only got that fight bc he signed with mayweather. Do you really not consider that a "belt holder?"
