I agree .. Angulo's style earned him the fight because his style has the potential to make Canelo look the best. Where as with Lara and even Molina if Canelo managed to win he probably won't look great doing so. Lara and Molina are more skilled than Angulo , period...

LOL...agreed, Ain't gonna say Angulo's an easy fight (cos it ain't), but whatever happens it wpn't leave 'Nelo looking clumsy as a Lara or Molina fight could - as they say 'styles make fights'.

I consider most of the top jr middleweights pretty even. Canelo, Lara, Trout, Kirkland, Angulo, Andrade, Vanes, Molina, and the list goes on and on. I don't think anyone in that division has seperated himself as THE MAN. Of course Floyd is technically the jr middleweight champ. But personally, I don't consider him a jr middleweight and I think there's a fairly solid chance we never see him fight above 47 again. So he's not even in the mix when I think about the current state of the jr middleweight division.

I agree with everything you said. I just wanted to see what that clown would say. A lot of clowns on here say Canelo is such a terrible fighter yet they want him to fight the best. I don't get it.

This is an acceptable fight coming off a loss. If Canelo wins, it needs to be either Lara or the Martinez-Cotto winner.

I don't think they put him in with Lara. Cinnamon is Golden Boy's future cash cow and Lara would put a beating on him right now. Maybe his power can save him like it almost saved Angulo....but I think the fight would look like Mayweather vs Canelo. Difference is Lara can legitimately hurt him.

Angulo was picked because he lost with style? He lost a couple of times with style? No disrespect for El Perro, but that is a load of horse manure. He's a face first fighter ashamed of ducking, probably because he doesn't do it well. Now, he is stricken in years and a sure target for a younger and well prepared Canelo. As far as Canelo's loss to Floyd goes, Floyd out sped and boxed him, but he didn't beat him down to where Canelo is damaged physically. Angulo has been damaged.

Hey man, I support your overall message lol, but this is not bad fight. Angulo is not the most deserving, but if you're carrying your 1st ppv he's probably the best pick. Guaranteed action, and some suspense cause Canelo has never faced anyone like Angulo. His best win is a very close decision vs light punching Trout, his second best probably shot undersized Mosley.
