I'm no advocate or fan of violence against women, but I've seen enough in my life to know that there are usually two sides to every story. And as fucked up as it is to say, the man that never ran into a woman they didn't at least have the urge to strike hasn't known many women. I'm inclined to believe that, but there are dudes here that think their favorite pro wrestlers are really like that in their personal lives. lol

Two sides to every story??? C'mon CGNYC, you're better than this. Floyd has been convicted of battery against women 4 separate times since 2002, that isn't "just a coincidence", the man (if you can even call him that) is a woman beater.

The idea that you can't judge anyone from their public persona is baffling. I mean, most people on this site hate Arum - yet I've read plenty of stories of fighters loving Arum (there's a video of Uncle Roger and Arum meeting and being friendly, and they're reminiscing about how Bob let Roger (and Floyd Sr too, I think) sleep at the Top Rank offices one time years ago.

Which is kinda a lovely story, especially when you consider how much Floyd Jr hates Bob, and yet Roger and Sr. still like him.

But we all know what Arum is like. Look at his comments on Khan today.

So which Arum is the real one? Can we make a judgement based on the things he says and does? I think so.

Same for Floyd. To disregard the things we see because it's a "public" person doesn't really make sense.

[QUOTE=The Tase;14250360]i never met hitler or stalin. or ted bundy.

i guess they are really good guys who are just misunderstood. Maybe if people who "hate" on them just met them for 5 minutes, they would see they are good people.

neighbors did think bundy was a good fellow lol ..... not here feeding into this machine .. we all know mayweather is not the greatest guy in the world but who is ? also we know he is not as bad as some think but one memory that will stick out when mayweather was dancing up on bundrage's wife while k9 was fighting sad but funny all at the same time ... what was he thinking shaking his body to close to another man's wife while she sat there smh ... yea they were arguing back and forth but really dancing while here husband fighting to keep his title one of the many great memories he has giving us HAHA

What's the point in this entire thread? You met him and he wasn't beating a woman while you asked him to buy a Henry Maske book written in German?

"That book had nice pictures, doe!"
jeez,,,some of you people need to chill. its not like he was saying mayweather is an awesome guy he just said he had a good experience meeting him

the difference being nobody is paying to see bob arum fight, perform, or lose....

when floyd was with bob...he had a pretty good deal for fighting on regular hbo...he was eating well....floyd has the desire for more....and arum cant stand that he left him and joined up with another black man and became the biggest in the sport....arum doesnt like the fact that floyd and haymon were smarter than him

Why did Pacquaio refuse random drug testing and turn down 40 million?

In fact, I would say that ever since his fame and wealth has rocketed, there's been a blurring of the lines between the persona and who he really is. It's probably not even faking it anymore, he actually is that douchey. He's just constantly full of **** (What has Africa ever done for me?" and believes that everything he says is meaningful - which is probably because he lives in a world where everyone laughs at his jokes and treats him like a God.

                      Money has corrupted his soul.
Apparently you've never watched a minute of professional wrestling. It's how it became a multi-million dollar empire....
