"they pray and pray on my downfall"
Floyd is going to be 37 in a few days.

It could happen at any time when you get up in your mid to late 30's.
It's been a slow decline though.
I'd say Floyd was in his latter prime at 30 against Hatton. The layoff after killed his couple prime years he may have had left IMO.
He still looked real good against Marquez and Mosley obviously, but he wasn't prime at 32-33 in those fights still. He again declined slightly during the layoff after the Mosley fight, but since 2011 against Ortiz-2013 against Canelo, I'd say he hasn't really looked too much different in terms of speed, reflexes, and all that.
He's past prime-still good. Same as Pacquiao. Manny ain't shot or past it either.Comment

No. He's done I think. 4 fights left the next two years.
Hopefully it's something like Maidana, Bradley/Pacquiao, Thurman, Garcia, etc.Comment

Guess what, Maidana and Guerrero would be ranked Welterweights at any point in the last 10 years. And no, Thurman's not the guy to beat Floyd. Trust me. He's just better than most of these above average WWs in today's era, so your view on him is skewed. And I love Thurman.
For Christ's sake, guy's like Maidana and Guerrero are getting shots at Floyd. That tells you a lot about this era.
You know, Floyd's not the only fighter ever to fight other contenders in his weight class.
How'd you feel about Oscar fighting Charpentier, old and irrelevant Comacho, Kamau while he was one of the P4P best and a champ at 147???
Maidana, Guerrero, and Ortiz at that time are/were certainly better then fights like that.Comment

Stop making me laugh. Ortiz/Guerrero are basically Floyd's premier WW fights. Oh yeah, old ass Mosley and Judah.Guess what, Maidana and Guerrero would be ranked Welterweights at any point in the last 10 years.

Are you on drugs? The layoffs sustained his body and GUARANTEED he wouldn't have to fight ANY top, elite, WWs for 2 years.
You know the old theory with MJ. The year he took off from basketball actually helped him with the 2nd 3 peat because of not burning himself out, and saved his body for another run. Also, reduced the risk of injuries by a considerable amount.
Of course, MJ wasn't pumping himself up full of PEDs during his hiatus.

How many fights has Floyd had since his quit job for 2 years? How many fighters that are active today got to quit for 2 years while everyone else was beating each other up?
How often does he pump himself up with roids while on said hiatus, and what is his fighting style?
