Floyd is going to be 37 in a few days.

Age creeps up on everyone. I do understand that that his 2013 performances suggest that he's better than ever . But I think if he fights one of these strong primed welterweights like Bradley and Thurman . I don't think his 0 will retire with him . Just saying.

I don't think we will see a major difference with Floyd until he hits about 40 or so. He hasn't taken much punishment through his career and finesse can carry you over nicely into the later stages of your career. He has also carefully selected his opposition which he will most probably continue to do.

It's like in basketball, when you're young you can rely on athleticism and explosiveness to be good... but once age starts creeping on you, you will need to rely more on your pure skills / fundamentals.

I think he looked better because of who he fought (Guerrero/worst-gameplan-ever-nelo). I think Thurman beats him up if they fight tbh

This just goes to show you how great he really is.
          The man will be 37......37!
          And is still looking unstoppable.
          Still looking better that ever.
          Still hasn't been beaten.

          and

Still will be called a coward and a cherry pick if he fights nothing less than superman.

He's that freaking good that hes not held to normal human standards.

Any other fighter fights [Insert great fighter here]=Great fight.
Floyd fights [Insert great fighter here]=Cherry pick.

...and that makes sense to people.

Quitting your sport for 2 years, and PEDs when you don't fight does wonders for your body. It's a new age with new science. Floyd's gonna be alright.

              Thurman?

I think Thurman gets handled pretty easily. He still has a lot to learn.

And no, Thurman's not the guy to beat Floyd. Trust me. He's just better than most of these above average WWs in today's era, so your view on him is skewed. And I love Thurman.

For Christ's sake, guy's like Maidana and Guerrero are getting shots at Floyd. That tells you a lot about this era.

I dont think Floyd is fighting anyone that is really going to challenge him. He has not done it for the last few years so he definitely isnt doing it at 37 plus.

Based on his cherry picked/weak opponents, as a fighter Floyd is still considered young. Lucky for him he went through easy fights that even a novice fighter can pull through an undefeated record (just like him). He's not a warrior, he's kind of a defensive boxer making his fights a snooze fest and will bore you to death.

For a lot of boxing fan, Floyd's career is a joke and that's the reason he is tagged as a fraud.
