I don't think it's a case of that.its gonna be18-24 months before the wbo mandatory comes around again if Wlad retains his belts in that time.I suspect it is team Povetkin's handlers intention to gain that lofty position though.Boytsov will be re guided by Sauerland towards that same no.1 spot too,I'd like to see a fit conditioned Boytsov against either Povetkin or Chisora by the end of the year for the next mandatory WBO title shot.

The guy Wlad is fighting next is ranked #1 in the WBO. So I was assuming that he was Wlad's mandatory. And since Chisora is #2, I assumed whomever he fought next would become Wlad's next mandatory. The mere fact that he's ranked ahead of Fury is ******ed in itself, IMO.

They'll be no refereeing favours or interventions out there for him like he has received by the British officials for the last 8 months.if he can apply himself like he has been doing for the past 12 months then he can push Sascha for the full 12 rounds.I doubt he out works Povetkin, but I can see him running him close.all comes down to conditioning for me.Povetkin is clearly better technically, and has proved he has as much heart and desire than Chisora.Povetkin's inside game is all the more impressive too.close fight 65/35 in Moscow.

How is Chisora no1 UK heavyweight he lost to both Haye and Fury. A belt doesn't always make you the best.

Povetkin's choice of opposition was poor for years prior to facing Wlad, I don't think he'll pursue Chisora, or if he does I doubt he'll offer the sort of money Warren will want.

I know you don't like fury or haye but both have beat him & haye destroyed him... chisora is #3 in the UK. the WBO is a joke anyway so him being #2 doesn't put him ahead of either in my opinion.

fit or not he lost decisively to alex leapai. boytsov was the most overrated HW in the last 5-6 years. he beat nobody & he lost to a nobody. he was the WBO #1 contender. where was he ranked in the other 3? boytsov is a small HW who will never beat anyone who punches back.

Good point. That overhand right has become Chisora's main offensive weapon, and whether it is a legal punch or not is open to interpretation. I would say it's ok, most of the time, because it only lands round the back of the opponent's head if they try and turn or duck away from it.
But with a shorter guy like Povetkin, who fights from a crouch and comes in low, that's different, and I honestly cannot see any ref allowing Del Boy to clobber Povetkin around the back of the head in a Moscow ring. If he did, it would probably cause a freaking riot.

Wow, that'll be an interesting fight.

While you're at it Del Boy, why don't you start planning to face Pulev after Fury. If you beat Povetkin, Fury and Pulev convincingly in a span of one year you'll be damn bloody ready for Wladimir Klitschko.

If Chisora loses, which he could, his Fury fight loses its appeal. Chisora's administrators are not going to risk the Fury fight by taking on Povetkin in Russia.
