I far from being a big fan of Wald but the more I hear from Fury the more I would like to see someone to put him to sleep. In that aspect you have to respect the man's business. He knows what people want to hear and not. In that aspect, dude is smart.

I don't see Wladimir fighting Fury this year - he's committed to Leapai, Pulev and the winner of Stiverne vs. Arreola. Fury can keep running his mouth.Comment

Its very simple really: For illustrative purposes lets pretend it is Lennox Lewis at the top and people are saying the following "Michael Grant will Ko Lewis." Well Lewis realizing that Grant is/was not a mandatory decides "gee....this is the guy who is hyped and the fans want to see it so I will do it." I can't recall how many times Lewis fought someone under these conditions when it was not a mandatory.
Well if Tyson is the one people want to see the fact that he is not a mandatory should not preclude the fight happening but alas....Vlad is a coward. A safety first division strangler who, while claiming a respect for his fans....would rather talk up the local Australian Delivery guy than fight a guy who actually has the potential to beat him.
Say what you will about Fury but Vlad is smart enough to know two things about him: a) if he tries to hold Fury he will get beat up inside (as he should) because Fury has the strength to punch through the dry hump shuffle.
b) Fury comes to fight. Vlad is scared ****less because he knows unless he knocks Fury out cold that Fury, bad chin and all will probably find a way to catch him at least a few times. If Fury has the balls and will to punch Vlad in the mouth....hard... Then his chin and even his fitness may not matter.
Fury is a decent guy and he has a brain. He knows that the last time Vlad got hit hard he folded....All the kings men may not have put the glass chinned Vlad/humpty dumpty back together but have created a way of fighting that guarantees Vlad would never be hit hard again....Just make sure you pick the right opponent and walla!Last edited by billeau2; 02-16-2014, 10:36 AM.Comment

I say give him a shot
Fury is hilarious, i love his bravado. With his confidence he could beat a lot of people he shouldn't be able to who have higher skill sets than him. His confidence is probably his biggest weapon.Comment

You heard what the commentators said after Fury came up bad-mouthing Chisora and Wlad during Del boy's fight - that he went back to his seat grinning.
Fury knows that talking **** like that annoys people and makes them want to see him get ko'd. Oldest trick in the book.
One thing Fury proved in this fight is that there is nothing wrong with his chin. Abell can **** and he caught Fury flush a couple of times. The only thing that wobbled was Tyson's belly. Lol.Comment
