I don't think it had to do with Floyd not wanting to fight Cotto, more along the lines of the Top Rank problem that Floyd has since he split from them. But that's another story.

The fight should have happened in May-September 2008.

There wasn't no lie in the campaign. He did a fake retirement, that to me is one of the biggest bitch moves to avoid boxers in boxing. You can try to spin it all you want since I know you love Floyd. You guys are the type to give more credit to Floyd fighting one time in 2 years than someone that has beating 5 good opponents in a same span.
Not at all. But Floyd fighting and beating Mosley when he did is better then Manny beating Clottey and Margarito coming off a TKO loss in 2010 though.

Floyd retired in 2007 because he needed a vacation, not because he was avoiding Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams and Shane Mosley. He just needed a rest.

Paul Williams losto Carlos Quintana barely 2 months after Floyd stopped Hatton. Carlos Quintana.....yeah Floyd was ducking Williams....C'mon son

Floyd never ducked Mosley, are you kidding me??? Shane if anything ducked him in 2006.

You're either mentally challenged, an idiot, or both.

For current active fighters, Floyd has the best resume, manny is very close, and could be argued that manny's is better... They are clearly above anyone else and in a league of their own.. After them, then there is hopkins

Ward, serg, wlad, jmm, and Bradley all 2nd tier, just don't have the longevity of manny and Floyd... They have been champs since evander Holyfield was still heavyweight champ and Floyd has been on p4p lists since 1998.. That's incredible considering he was on it before Hopkins made the list and is still on it after Hopkins is off

If I could read Floyd's mind or if I was in his inner circle, perhaps I'd know. As you can tell, I'm not.

Floyd retired in 2007 because there wasn't any easy pickins in the welterweight division at that time, like Floyd says in this video, life is supposed to be easy for him, his opponents are supposed to be hand picked for him so he can live healthy and make money.

                      No one can match that.
That's a pretty weak list for an "ATG"
