I think I'll be critical if Mayweather plays it safe, Maidana is not only easy to hit but he has stamina issues and he's weak to the body as well. I see Mayweather slicing through him but at the very least, get him out of there if the opportunity presents itself.

Could Floyd Mayweather beat Marcos Maidana without taking damage?

Floyd is just that good.. Maidana is going to have a few moments and Floyd has to be careful not to get tagged like he did vs Shane.. Maidana tags him, it could be the difference maker with marcos
Mayweather would just give it right back though.

Even if he has him hurt he's still not stopping him.
He doesn't look for stoppages at all at this point. Only way a stoppage will come is if he wants a huge shot like he did Hatton and that's not happening with Maidana.
He's willing to coast especially if he's miles ahead going into the last few rounds.

Mayweather would just give it right back though.

Floyd will be either doing a lot of movement in the ring or holding or more than likely a bit of both. This will frustrate Maidana .... and then it's a wrap!
If Devon Alexander can do it, so can Floyd ..... unless we get a good ref that doesn't go for all the holding/elbowing like in the Devon fight.

That's honestly why I actually like this fight.
Maidana isn't going to have any respect for Maidana and even if he's getting tagged he'll just keep coming. First time probably since Hatton.
Plus, Floyd's getting on isn't he. He's slowly but surely approaching 40 now.

"You haven't studied Maidana's fights"
STFU. Apparently you haven't "studied" Mayweather.
Floyd is never unprepared, so he will never underestimate an opponent, and his drive and dedication is second to none, but Floyd is still a human being, just like Maidana, let's not get carried away and act like Maidana has no chance, because he has a better chance than anynone else has had since DLH.
It's an exciting fight because Chino will make it so, sure you can say "floyd is too fast, won't be touched, yadayada" I know, I say it all the time too, but Maidana presents problems that you can't easily replicate in sparring, Floyd should be the heavy favorite here no matter what, but I am behind Maidana, and I am not ignorant to the sport, so while I have been wrong before, I am right more often than not, but I say Maidana brings the fight out of Floyd and it becomes a war.Last edited by LoadedWraps; 02-16-2014, 09:07 PM.

Maidana is faster and more technically sound than ever before, and would not just be showing up for a paycheck.
