You clearly haven't studied Maidana's fights. He is the exact opposite of those things. He is fast and unpredictable -- Maidana varies and disguises his punches very well; hence why Broner got dropped in the second round. Broner was thinking "A shot is coming to the body, so put hands down." When in reality Maidana was gonna redirect that nuclear missile to the chin.

Did he get the chin? He got the chin. No, he earned the chin. That shot wasn't free.

No, knock it off. He is making stuff up and you're defending him.

Maidana can fight backing up; he did it immaculately against Jesus Soto Karass and Adrien Broner. And he's not slow. Yes, his style is ugly but that does not mean he's slow. I've studied the man's fights thoroughly. He runs up on his opponents and jacks them like a predatory animal. If Maidana was slow he wouldn't have been able to beat Broner so thoroughly. And Maidana packages his punches nicely -- they are well disguised and random.

People underestimate Floyd's punching power - there's a reason why fighters don't just walk him down.

Mayweather would administer a 12 round beat down on Maidana.

Marcos is a one trick pony.

People also underestimate Maidana's skills, speed, and defense.

Maidana would be about as effective as Baldomir

It really depends if Maidana fights awkwardly and unpredictable.

Those looping shots are his best assets right now and they come at awkward angles. He needs to act repetitive and robotic to make Floyd adjust to that specific style and then unleash his new found style under Garcia(like the jab to the body and then a looping left). I do think Mayweather will get hit but its Maidanas speed and stamina which will prevent anything from landing flush and effective, Mayweather will just counter him all night.

Exactly -FMJ is not a good choice for MM in terms of a competitive fight.

MM just does not have the tools to present FMJ any real problems.

I am a big fan of Maidana but his limitations would be too exposed here, and while he may deserve the shot (and payday) I would not see him getting past 9 rounds, maybe even 6.

There are opponents out there who can be very competitive against FMJ, the only problem is that Floyd has decided not to include them on his shortlist.

From a PPV perspective it is like going to a brothel and having to pick from a dwarf or a crack hoe, with Floyd as the pimp.

Personally I'd take my money, go home and spend some time with my friend Pamela Hand...

Maidana is smaller than Floyd. No fighter smaller than Floyd will ever pose a problem for him.

Sounds like TS got answers he didn't want. Floyd walks down bigger 154ers, what is a fighter smaller than him going to do? This would be a blowout.
