To be fair, I saw a lot of talk about him in previous years and although his record looked impressive most were saying he was unproven and just waiting to be stopped in his tracks. Also, we gotta remember...boxing is not a bodybuilding contest, too much bulk is never a help really...

However, if he could not overcome coming in out of shape for 1 fight against a fighter who was not even ranked at the time shows that he isn't or wasn't a particular great fighter to begin with. Well, Boytsov hadn't lost before when he was actually in shape, so what can I tell ya?

Coming in fat and with obviously not much cardio training sure didn't do anything for him.

Leapai has good power and while he isn't a great aesthetic boxer he can hurt anybody in the division if they take him too lightly. Boytsov obviously did.

However, a strong guy like Leapai can punch, so even if he's crappy otherwise, if you're not serious about the fight, you can get caught, as Boytsov, who is to my knowledge only a pro boxer and not a bartender, found out.

My real point was such matchups are nothing new, and they aren't. It's not like Ali fought Foremans and Fraziers every time out either.
