How Safety Pin Johnson stopped Leapai

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be better footage but here is upcoming HW challenger Leapai getting stopped by the Safety Pin - not sure who has saw this already.

Is it just the way it is being recorded or am I going crazy but Leapai looks like he got shot when he was getting hurt by Johnson, but it looks like the punches aren't even landing...in any case you can imagine what Wlad will do to this guy as his tactics of leading in head first, pushing into the opponent and throwing slow looping shots will not work. I don't buy though how people can say Leapai is 'durable' if he was stopped by Johnson??

Leapai had Safety Pin in bad shape and almost out early.

But he gassed out and got stopped later.

You don't like him as Wlad's opponent? Blame Denis Boytsov for showing up fat and out of shape against Leapai.

He's like David Tua, but bigger, younger, and throws better leaping left hooks. That's why they call him Leapai. Dude can dunk over Lebron James. Frog legs.

Na, I blame the WBO for placing Leapai into that spot after a 10 round fight which wasn't even an eliminator but meant as a tune-up for bum Boytsov. I don't like the fight (I don't think anyone does) but I can live with it for Wlad to be staying active...

But seriously, Johnson is horrendous to watch and is scared to 'fight' against any legit threats (generally) so actually seeing him unload for once doesn't really show Leapai in a good light.

Nevertheless, every time I had seen him before, Boytsov looked like a bodybuilder. Against Leapai he was blown up and breathing out of his mouth by round three. The man was badly out of shape.

Boytsov was at one time highly touted and of course now that he's fallen everybody knew all along he was a bum, right? Because that's how boxing fans roll.....

To be fair, I saw a lot of talk about him in previous years and although his record looked impressive most were saying he was unproven and just waiting to be stopped in his tracks. Also, we gotta remember...boxing is not a bodybuilding contest, too much bulk is never a help really...
