Canelo can claim to be A-side because even tho he lost to floyd, on his resume he did high ratings and got 2.2M buys. so yes it would be on the resume.

its that WHO a fighter chooses to fight factors into his status. Cotto, for example, has lost to Floyd and Manny...and while he doesnt get credit in terms of a win/loss, it shows us what kind of fighter he is.
its a "special loss" but you cant include losses vs bums

I think you mean Resume vs Legacy. Legacy is Built on just Great Wins.

If Resume was a Document its would have:

        Amateur Record
        Professional Record
        Titles won.
        Competitions won.
        TV ratings.
        PPV Buys.

Things Networks/Promoters would need to refer to in order to offer you a new work/Next fight/contract

ratings and buys do not factor into a fighters resume. how long have you been following boxing?

that has nothing to do with determining how good a fighter is...which is what the term resume means in boxing.

you are talking about marketability where, yes, the ability to draw counts.

I know the term resume don't only = how good the fighter is "in boxing". There's the term Legacy for that.

Career Achievements is recordable and refered to as a resume. thats why a gold medalist will get respect and notable mentions.

Ward has a better resume than GGG aka:

Ward has a better "how good a fighter is" than GGG.

Does this make sense to you?

Resume = who you fought and what you have done in boxing.

so if resume is legacy then lets include things fighters have done outside the ring as part of their resume?!!!?

so ali's exceptional contribution to raising the popularity of the sport is part of his resume?
