You are correct, he Isn't as big now. My argument was that he was at one time. There Is no denying that fact.

The opponent must not have mattered to Showtime or Floyd would not have been In the ring with Guerrero. After losing millions on the fight, opponents now seem to matter, hence the Alvarez fight.

I would also suspect Showtime was having or Is having a hard time accepting Khan as Mayweathers next opponent being that we are still waiting for his next opponent to be named.

I love how Roach is concerned about showtime losing money, when his main guy is busy losing money for HBO fighting against a depleted TR stable. How many sales did Pac's last ppv generate? 400k?

The difference is that TR and HBO don't spend money on getting good undercards. I wonder if that balances it out, since they seem to literally spend pennies on everything besides the main event.

Mayweather doesn't give a **** of them. He's contacted with CBS/Showtime and just fought a guys off GBP.

It depends of PPV numbers.

His guaranteed **** is 32 millions per bout (even though the **** tanks with zero PPV) plus % off PPV.

I recall reading that the fight needed to sell somewhere between 1.1 and 1.2 million to break even. Didn't the fight sell around 870-900k? Wouldn't that result In a substantial loss If the fight did't sell as expected?

Do you have any numbers to show that the PPV was a success?
