What I do remember in these threads is that a lot of people thought the fight was extremely boring because neither guy was pushing the action for much of the fight, which still doesn't change the fact that Lara was the only one landing punches.

Again, tell me specifically what 4 rounds you gave Martyrosyan and what 10-10 round you scored to make this a draw.

Here's the round-by-round punch stats if you're curious (Lara 74-33 Vanes):

Exactly that's why I can't help but laugh when I see guys saying he was clearly winning...

        That's just fan boy talk.

In actuality what happens is, these "posters" hype these fighters up in the pre-fight hype. Then when it doesn't go accordingly and it's a close fight, they say "figter A" was clearly winning when "fighter A" wasn't.

        Let's be objective here

I watched the fight live. I'm telling you how I scored it. I had Vanes winning the fight until later in the fight when Lara was coming on.

I'm not gonna go back and tell you what specific rounds from over a year ago. You do it. I'll try and get to it tomorrow if you want to talk about it.

And a lot of the guys I quoted aren't trolls.

I couldn't care less about either Vanes or Lara going into their fight, but the truth is the truth, and Lara was the only one landing significant punches for at least 5 or 6 of those rounds.

I don't care how boring it was, the guy landing all the punches clearly wins the fight.

It was a Lame fight but counting meaningful punches Lara would have won, but some rounds where so close that nobody can really be upset at the decision a draw was fair Lara didn't do his best, and it costs him. I think a lot of Cuban fighters have that problem they prepare to what the perceive the level of opposition is and it bites them in the ass sometimes .

I don't see Lara being great but he is a real skilled fighter. Who can frustrate his opponents with his foot work and left cross.

I would like to see Lara vs Mayweather this year. Even if it is a chess match with two counter punchers. I like watching those type of fights once in a while like a Marquez vs Casamayor.

I see Mayweather winning the fight but I also see Lara winning more rounds against him than a Khan or a Maidana at 147.

Truth is about Lara is fir every impressive showing he has, he has at least 2 mind boggling unimpressive ones. Story of his career. This is why I don't understand this idea that he's so superior to the other jmws. They are all the same level. Been saying it since canelo back when everyone thought he'd destroy Lara. My how times have changed. But that's nsb for u.

I don't think that is fair to Angulo in this case. He has always had some hype , he came to the Lara fight and delivered what he always does. When someone comes to the ring and delivers on his hype and someone like Lara still wins, then we might have a badazz on our hands. No need to bash him after the fact when that was one of LAra's best performances to date
