What makes Erislandy Lara so great?

He beat Paul Williams, 3 judges didn't lose their jobs because it was a close fight.

He's a good fighter but nowhere near great. People want to see him against Floyd because he brings something different that Mayweather's last opponents didn't have like foot movement and hand speed. Ultimately I believe his low punch output and lack of inside game hurts him against Floyd.

And for people bringing up the Williams fight, people were asking for Williams to retire since after the Martinez fights before he even fought Lara.

Williams post Martinez II is the equivalent to Cotto post Margarito I. Both fighters were clearly not the same fighters they once were

Lara came on late and was taking over the fight, but he lost many early rounds. This is truth.

Off the top of my head, I remember the first 4-5 rounds were very close and if you find the RbR discussion thread, I gave at least 3 of the first 5 or so to Vanes.

Nobody saying that he will beat Floyd like it's written in scripture, but sure as **** has more of a chance than frikking Khan or Maidana. Oh and not to mention that he would have to fight with his hands tied behind his back to look as ****ty as Canelo did.
