He is around here at least. At one point when he was still fighting he was getting a bit overrated but now its swung the other way.
The guy was a terror in the ring, a prime Hatton would have been a nightmare to fight. There were always guys I'd have favoured over him though
I'd have loved to have seen Hatton-Marquez at 140 in 2010.

True. He was also the ultimate people's champion. Unfortunately, like so many other people's champions, he had his flaws. However, I have a hard time imagining any British fight fan who didn't get behind Ricky in most of his big nights, and he gave us one of the greatest fight nights ever on British soil vs Tszuy in my opinion. That's what made him great.
Still on the darts team of his mum and dad's pub when he was fighting.
Could you imagine a Floyd Mayweather rolling down to his local grand rapids bar, shooting some darts after a fight? Haha.
Extremely under rated. Prime Hatton was fun to watch. He swarmed his opponents with great body work and inside game. Pressure was the name of the game and he was fun. I dont think he ever would have beaten Floyd even if they fought at 140 but that would have been a better fight.

Yeah i was a Massive Hatton fan, I was at the Tszyu fight among others but that was an atmosphere like no other! Nearly everybody i spoke to in the crowd had a Hatton story, was like he'd been for a Pint with or had some connection with everyone in there!
Him and Floyd were chalk and cheese and it was hands down My favourite build up to any fight in my lifetime of watching boxing, The 24/7 was the best one they ever did and the whole UK was buzzing for it talking in the pubs about it like u just dont hear too often!
Maybe he is but Hatton doesn't want to go anywhere near that one dimension that Ruslan resides in!!
What's ricky gonna do outbox him?? Because he sure as hell ain't knocking him out
Why? I understand Provodnikov won his last fight and is fresh in people's minds but he's not even that good. He can quite easily be outboxed and Hatton could quite capably do it.
It would be a tough, gruelling fight but this idea that anyone who can remotely punch beats Hatton now is getting ridiculous.

It was truly spectacular.
How I wanted Hatton to win that fight.. Probably more than I've wanted anyone to win any fight at any stage I remember.
It's still tough watching it back - especially if you watch the build-up as well.
Awesome you were at the Tszuy fight - couldn't get tickets myself I remember.
