But on a serious note Cotto last was a 154lbs champ, and was comfortable at it or seemed to be, so calling him a WW is an exaggeration. Hes going up by choice and not cuz hes desperate for a payday like josesito lopez and has leverage to demand things if he wishes so.

Martinez too isnt a real middleweight dont forget his "best" weight is actually 154 lbs where Cotto seemed natural for the weight. If anything Martinez is gonna be 39 by fitenite vs Cotto 33.

so how again did Martinez duck GGG, prior to Pokska was unknown and fight guys like Lajuan Smith and Fuchigami in Europe. hardly the resume to call out the lineal middleweight champ.
