How much credit does Gamboa get for whooping Mikey?

Man, to be honest, Gamboa was one of my favorite boxers a few years ago but he has slipped. Signing with 50 was a big mistake imo, he has been inactive for a while and hasn't looked in top form in the few times he has fought over the last couple of years.

Garcia may be a bit robotic but he is far from a scrub and I think Gamboa will be rusty and that is not something he can afford to be against Garcia. I think he may also get frustrated and get sloppy which is also a bad thing. I wish him well and good luck but I feel he may end up getting hurt in this fight.

Mikey is so overrated. Guys like Lopez, Salido etc... are guys who have been beaten. Mikey may be P4P but you need to face top guys who are good and not exposed.

Gamboa is a top fighter and better than anyone on Mikey's resume. Yes he still hasn't fought many names etc... but from a boxing skills and athletic point, is a top fighter.

Both have flaws in how they take a shot IMO.

He should get plenty of credit. Let's be honest here, Garcia is the most dangerous fighter Gamboa has ever faced as a pro. Throw that in with the fact that he's looked like crap in his last 2 fights and you have to wonder if he can even win this.

If Gamboa does not come prepared in this fight I think Garcia will knock him out. If he does come prepared I have it as a 50/50 fight.

Dude should get massive credit if he wins this but I don't get all the hate Garcia is getting. He is a very good boxer and although I think his older bro is a prick, he is a very humble guy who basically shuts guys down easily. Gamboa has (maybe had is the better verb) the athletic skillset that is just hard to come by but being out of the ring so much is just not good.

This is speculation. We dont know if gamboa is better than juanma. I like gamboa but lets be real garcia is top fighter here. Gamboa hasnt stayed busy and by all means hasnt even looked good.
