i'm still backing him to achieve a lot in the sport. he seems like he has a good head on him so maybe suffering this adversity will only spur him on to greater things. give him more of an edge than if he'd continued to be pampered like a golden boy.

Take into account that, and the apparent 297 low blows, and the VERY LEAST should have been a draw.
Yeah, and 150 of Salido's shots were power punches. He landed more power punches than Loma's combined shots.

Plus I was able to DL and watch both fights without ruining it for me this morning after working all day Saturday.... so success there.

Well, you were nearly right. It nearly did him in.

        Salido clearly won the fight.

        Lomachenko not impressive at all.

Salido's certainly a good fighter, one of my favorite active fighters but he's well passed it and losing to him is no shame but the way this guy was hyped he should be beating him handily.

                Nothing he did impressed me.

                  .
I agree. And people make the weight seem like a 100% advantage when it actually hurt Salido in the last 3 rounds. Salido is a fighter that gets stronger in the late rounds. Him losing the last 3 almost cost him a fight that he was clearly in control of.

I felt like he was being honest when he said he was 126 for 12 years and couldn't make it anymore.

I don't think he was being willfully deceptive about it.

Lomachenko had no answer to Salido continually coming forward and best he could do is hold. This is why you have several fights fighting guys with different styles at a lower tier
