No, a small, yet typically vocal minority of bias Loma fans think he won. Everyone else, 95% of people, saw what it was. A clear Salido win.

I'm not dis*****g the low blows mate. If Cole had actually done his job, and warned Salido when they started, he would have stopped and no points would have been taken most likely. Salido did what he could get away with, that's Cole's fault, and it doesn't somehow mean Loma wins the fight. After all, if Cole did his job, then Loma could also have lost points for excessive holding. Both guys fouled, no one got warned.

But, no matter how bias you are, the last round wasn't a 10-8 round.

You need to be getting brutally lit up, staggering about the ring, about to be stopped for the majority of the round for any judge to give a 10-8 round with no KD. They are very rare and briefly hurting a guy with one punch means nothing. It meant he won the round clearly, but very normally.

It was a dumb risk that didn't pay off. Just leave it at that boys and girls. Getting freaky on everyone is just sad. He didn't win, but he fought well for what he was trying to do. Don't slide further by going down that path.

I have favourite fighters too, but when they lose, they lose. I don't think Marquez won the Bradley fight just because I like him. That's how close this fight was, but I don't need to pretend Marquez won for whatever the **** reason. I'm not an idiot and I'm not ******. Bradley won. It sucks, but that's boxing. When you take big risks, sometimes they don't work. I'm not going to start suspending reality because my poor little mind can't handle a basic truth. It wasn't hard to score, and Salido made it closer than it needed to be by training like **** and being a fat turd, and Loma did bloody good to be the guy finishing strong.

But he didn't win. Another five fights against various guys, and maybe a ten rounder and I think he would have won, but they missed this time. No shame at although. It's only his 2 official pro fight. He'll be a champion soon.

Everybody should remember that the last time lomachenko lost he went on a tear and won like 300+ amateur fights in a row. I expect the same from this loss.

Personally, I had Lomachenko winning by 1 point, and that was with the 11th round being scored 10-8. I felt Lomachenko's work in that round was equal to a knockdown and the drama that typically follows.

All that having been said, I don't have a problem with the judges scoring a split decision for Salido. The man had a great gameplan and I've always respected his uncompromising approach in the ring.

As for Lomachenko, no worries. I think he gave a great accounting for himself in his second pro fight, and I think he learned as much as he would have from 20 pro fights.

One thing I think he'll take from this fight is NEVER allow your opponent to come into the fight with a significant weight advantage.

By allowing Salido that advantage, Lomachenko was basically forced to fight a man several weight classes above him. Not only that, but he was also disadvantaged by the physical burden of having made weight while his opponent was not.

The effects of this were clear in this fight, and I'm quite sure that Salido knows that not many fighters at this level would have allowed him to enjoy such a huge advantage. He knew Lomachenko was desperate for this fight, and as a result, wouldn't risk putting it off.

I doubt Lomachenko, however, ever goes for something like that again. Power and physical presence are part of his game, he won't allow weight to take away that advantage ever again.

Not only was solido on peds, and overweight. But Loma was slipping punches and countering Solido in the face all night.

The only decent shots I say was this random wild hook in the 3rd and te rest are low blows.

This fight is a disgrace, lOMA NOT ONLY WON Against a cheat, but the guy even if he was ahead should ave been Dsiqualified for this body blows.

Seems like the yanks are scared of Europe taking the shine away from their fighters.....

There is a reason why GGG, Kovalev, wlad and vitali fight mostly bums. WHen they fight real fighters ike Salido they tend to lose. Loma gets credit for not following the eastern european blueprint for success by trying to beat a realy tough champion so early.

Salido used dirty tactics and hella low blows, but that only would have made the fight closer if he had points taken away... he was winning the fight though

but the punch stats showed that Loma won, and also his shots were more effective.

The only thing Solido worked was lomas midrift.

The referee was the prime reason this fight was appalling. A single warning for Salido regarding the low blows and he didn't even acknowledge Salido trying to hit off the break. Points should have been deducted for his consistency in fouls and that would have lead to a win on Lomachenkos part. As for Lomachenko, he was clinching excessively and that was clearly because he had no answer for Salidos barrage of testicular fondling.

Lomachenko is receiving criticism for not fighting (dirty) back,that's when you know boxing fans don't understand character. And if he was to complain to the referee he would be called either a hypocrite or a whiner.
