Froch took the most damage before, within and after the Groves fight. He wasn't able to hide his emotions before the fight. Groves clearly got under his skin and Froch showed that he did. During Ringside Froch had to ask Hearn what was going on at one point. Froch was losing before the fight occured to a less experienced Groves.
During the fight Groves floored Froch hard in the first round. That damaged Froch's invincible reputation. Credit to Froch for getting back up though. Then Groves stood and traded with Froch and made him back out and move in rounds such as the sixth. Groves showed more heart, speed, skill and power than Froch. Maybe Froch was coming back just before the fight was stopped, or maybe Groves would have caught a second wind and gone onto win, who knows. However, what is clear that during the fight Froch sustained more damage to his reputation that George did.
Finally after the fight when Froch had a chance to redeem himself and give credit where due to George he didn't. Instead he showed arrogance rather than humility. He further sustained damage to reputation and the crowd reflected that.
Froch lost much of his boxing reputation before, during and after that fight. Froch's only win is on paper, some will argue that is all that matters. I'd say going forward George is in a fantastic position and Froch has received significant damage to his career and his self after the fight. The damage is not irreprabale. Froch needs the fight to redeem himself, but i dont think he can. A very risky situation for Froch.
