Its sounds to me like Groves is still trying to convince the British public that Froch is a coward so he can walk away from the 15% share he is only entitled to. He knows he messed up in the negotiations and is trying to find a way out of the fight. I honestly can't stand Groves.....yes Froch says some dumb **** too sometimes but at least he has backed up his talk with 11 consecutive World Title fights. Groves has a long way to go before he reaches the same status Carl has achieved so until then he's just a loudmouth wannabe who aint achieved anything.

Will you feel let down by Froch if he opts to fight Chavez instead?

Lacks humility in a fight where he was getting a beating and given a gift by the referee. His delusional smug in his post fight comments did not help his likability as a person.

He had implied he wants a rematch now he seems to be backtracking, not a redeeming factor.

Groves has put the fear into Froch. George has turned out to be Frochs worst nightmare
I'm not quite sure I understand properly - but it sounds to me like it must be Groves who is unwilling to accept the 15% (or 25%) as this is the guaranteed split for a mandatory. If Groves is offfered this amount but refuses the fight the IBF can't strip Froch

Perhaps he feels as if he desrves more (and perhaps he does), but the onus is on him to accept that figure, not on Froch to offer more. Groves will get the bigger paydays down the line and has apparently already turned down an offer in excess of a £ mil.

Despite the way he's trying to spin it, it appears to me that it's Groves who is preventing the fight from being made by asking for too much. Like it or not he can't expect 50-50 or even 60-40 against a guy of Frochs stature at this relatively early stage in his career.

Yeah this is how I see it too - Groves is getting a second title shot and you'd think he'd jump at the opportunity, after all, it was him that asked the IBF to be reinstated as mandatory having already turned down a £ mil+ offer. As you say if he turns down the statutory split, he can't claim Froch is ducking him - what did he expect to get if he went off the IBF - special treatment?

Groves is a decent fighter (though I don't think he'll beat Froch now Carl knows what he's got) but he apparently believes he's worth more than he actually is at this stage of his career.

Untimely stoppage or not ( I felt it was), I think a rematch will present different issues for Groves if he fights the same fight. The good thing is capable of fighting in diff ways, but can he do it the whole fight . I have always put GG on a personal list of the top athletes in boxing, but that's isnt what wins top level fights all the time...he could end up pissing this whole Froch thing away if he cant figure out how to close out the fight properly.

Groves needs to do some roadwork. He has the same problem as Haye: stamina.

True. It is very annoying. He should have let the fans speak for him. He'll learn.

But Froch does a lot of the same and is unquestionably two-sided when it comes to a lot of things.

Groves does a lot of roadwork, not nearly the same as Haye who does little-to-no roadwork at all.
