There was no clamour for an immediate rematch? Who did Groves fight instead?
Paul Smith
Francisco Sierra
50 year old Glen Johnson
Dario Balmaceda
Baker Bakerat
Noe Gonzalez
I'm glad Groves gave the fans what they really wanted by staging these epic fights instead.Comment

Common....always. Are you down to debating semantics because you have nothing else to challenge me on? If a promoter is dumb enough not to put a rematch clause in a contract against a voluntary then they aren't doing their job probably.
There's nothing "dodgy" or uncommon about the contract Groves was offered and rejected.Comment

Ahh I see you're going to go down this road instead of addressing the actual topic.Comment

Even if that were true, what the hell does it have to do with anything I said? Were any of those fights being clamoured for? No...so what was the excuse for not taking the immediate DeGale rematch again?
Ahh I see you're going to go down this road instead of addressing the actual topic.
And the topic at hand is Froch is scared of the damage he would take in a rematch.
Vacating his IBF belt is a clear indicator that he is or at the very least, knows he doesn't want to take another beating like that again.Comment

Groves was a novice, his fan bas was small, there was no clamour for any big fights. He was learning his trade, working on his technique and improving all the time. Maybe Froch should have done some of this and then would know how to avoid a right hand every now and again.

Again you are avoiding the fact that Froch offered Groves a very good, standard contract. He is clearly not scared of facing George Groves again.
The only reason he would vacate the title is for a big money fight in Vegas against Chavez Jr. Froch does not need George Groves to earn a crust. It's the other way around.Comment

No it wasn't a good standard contract.
And if he offered him this contract and and the IBF purse bid give Groves less, then why not take it?
Unless the offer was not genuine and had unacceptable clauses in them.
Groves earned his crust and then some with the beating he dishes out to Froch.
If Froch is a man of his word, he does not vacate, he fights Groves.
If he is scared of another beating, he vacates.
It still up in the air, what is it 80 days to go now?Comment

No it wasn't a good standard contract.
Please explain how? You've already shown a distinct lack of knowledge on the intricacies of contracts.

Who said Froch isn't going to take it? You do realise that George Groves is the one holding up the fight because he's not happy with the money on offer?
Groves doesn't earn **** anywhere else. He needs Froch. Froch doesn't need him.Comment

I have already proven that it was a standard contract repeatedly. You gave up trying to prove it wasn't after I proved you wrong on the 3rd or 4th example you tried to give.

Groves doesn't earn **** anywhere else. He needs Froch. Froch doesn't need him.
You have a copy of the contract at hand do you, I sure would like a read.
I hope does Froch take it, I don't like liars and charlatans.
If the fight doesn't happen and Froch keeps his belt then it is obviously Groves's fault.
Like I said lets see what happens.Comment
