Gennady Golovkin is no Hype Job - Would KO Ward

I think he would beat Martinez in 4, Chavez by 10, and would beat Ward. Ward had neither fought anybody as good as GGG, And GGG hasn't fought anybody as good as Ward. Its just GGG brings a stalker puncher to the table that Ward has never see. Ward doesn't have power to keep GGG off of him.Comment

I trust that the "good post" would have been: Ward will outwrestle and outheadbutt GGG to death, right?Comment

He might be right, it's not a crazy thought. Ward has fought much better comp, but it's possible 3G would be his best opponent yetComment

Hmmm ?
GGG seems to want to fight on his own terms. Some are justified in thinking that he might be ducking Ward. But at this point Ward needs GGG much more than GGG needs Ward. Ward cleaned out SMW and is looking for the next big (real or perceived) challenge. He does not seem eager to move up and challenge the thumpers just yet. His own division does not bring anything new to the table. So GGG is a name that will please masses. A lighter fighter Ward will try to hit and hold his way to victory.
GGG is going to clean out his division and let others come to him. The same exact thing Ward is doing now. Why should others dictate to GGG to move up in weight and fight whoever. If GGG plays it right others will come to him and fight at his weight. He can move down for Floyd and a few others, but draw other up to his weight. Perhaps Ward goes down to get GGG if GGG becomes a big enough draw. Ward can be boring at times and if GGG can raise his stock enough over the next year or two. Ward will be under pressure to move down while right now GGG is under pressure to move up. GGG might be waiting Ward out while strengthening his position. Knowing Ward is also under pressure to move up. Time will tell.
As a fan, I'd love to see this fight take place sooner than later. But politics and ego's will make us wait.Comment
