Why would Ward go down in weight? Hes P4P no.2 and the kingpin at 168... GGG didnt prove **** and yet groupies says he should go down to fight GGG. The boxing IQ of some people here is pretty low. If GGG wants to fight Ward, let him go to 168. And by the way, Ward puts a boxing clinic on this dude. Im not a fan of neither of them, but I can see how superior Ward is. GGG had problem dealing with Adama footwork at some point in the fight, and Adama was tripping in his own feet. GGG beats bums and the hype is on. Im not saying he sucks, but hes not there yet.

IMO GGG isnt a hype job, but i seriously doubt he ko's ward,,, Kovolev and stevenson are probably the only guys with a legit shot of ko'ing ward, and even that is long odds..

Ward is a hopkins clone and will be a tough task to ko....

GGG is an offensive juggernaut at 160, but any higher i doubt he would be as dominant

Even Jermell Charlo would be a step up from Adama.

I don't think Ward is a Hopkins clone. They have things in common but the prime Hopkins was much better in my opinion. Hopkins was a true right handed fighter with two very good hands and power in each hand. Ward is a left handed fighter who fights from a right handed stance and all his power is in his left. His right hand is weak and GGG would only have the left to worry about. The prime Hopkins also took a punch better than Ward. Ward was knocked down and hurt earlier in his pro career by a guy who's power and skill does not come close to GGG's level.

I agree with the OP...I think GGG wins by late KO...Ward dont have the power to keep GGG off him...watching the Ward-Bika fight it was very close and competitive...the judges scores were absurd...total punches landed was 235-201 Ward...lots and lots of holding in that fight...GGG will cut off the ring and keep Ward from holding alot...he is very good at avoiding holds...GGG late stoppage...

A 10million+ dollar payday will get Ward to sweat down to 160, a 1 and a half million dollar purse won't. See the difference. Boxing (like most things in life) just isn't that simple

Ward has to go up to fight Kovalev or Stevenson. Look, there are weight classes for a reason and if a fighter wants to stay in a division they are most comfortable, most suited for, good, that's the way it should be.

And of course there is the flipside. Why doesn't Ward move down to 160 to fight GGG. Why should he, he could end up Chad Dawson'd. It goes on and on.

The best should fight the best in their own divisions. If Golovkins goal is to unify the 160 titles, let the man attempt his goal.
What? Those two things aren't similar whatsoever. Floyd would NEVER go to 160 for a fight. GGG has said himself he'd fight anywhere from 154 to 168. Ward vs GGG is a very viable bout and frankly a bout that should be made in the near future.

Ward is huge big star -- he makes the calls.
Ward has the right to call GGG even at a catchweight -- namely 172.
