Gennady Golovkin is no Hype Job - Would KO Ward

As much as I've love GGG to beat Froch and Ward, I actually think those are both bad match ups for him.
Annoyingly I think he'd beat Groves whom I like.
Styles make fights. Froch is tough, long, rangey, Ward is very difficult to land clean on.Last edited by Kris Silver; 02-02-2014, 06:47 AM.Comment

I am 100% certain Ward completely dominates Golovkin. He's a terrible size and style matchup for the guy.Comment

People make out that Andre Ward has perfect defense and never gets hit. Bull ****! I've seen him get hit plenty of times. The most powerful punchers Andre Ward has faced are Bika & Froch. Both of them have poor boxing skills, slow hands and don't know how to cut the ring off. Bika, Froch and Abraham have strong punches but they only use the power in their arms to throw punches, that is not enough to rock Ward.
Of course Golovkin can land shots on Ward as he is way more skilled a boxer than anyone Ward has faced. The big difference is that Golovkin has pure punching power which comes straight from his proper form and technique. We all know he can do damage with either hand, even with a jab. If he lands his shots on Ward (which he will because Ward is not untouchable) then it will be lights out. Ward does not have enough power to intimidate GGG or to earn his respect. If he tries clinching and holding he will get hurt on the inside big time.
FYI - Ward is not that fast. I have never looked at Ward and said 'wow' this guy has speed. Of course he will look fast against the likes of Froch, Bika, Abraham...Comment
