In less than 2 months, history will be made when Miguel Cotto will dethrone reigning MW champ Sergio Martinez. Sergio will pay for his disrespect.

old dudes in ppvs these days.

cotto has been washed up for a long time now. he didn't win many rounds at all against trout.

the question in this fight is: how much more does martinez have left?

in his prime he beats the hell out of cotto. his arms are too long, and he's too fast. he's a middleweight. that's if he's in his prime.

martinez is a purely athletic fighter. his legs are going, going, and almost gone. if he doesn't have the mobility he goes life and death with martin murray.

this is a strange fight. it's a better fight because of how faded these guys are. cotto is several weight classes above his best [welterweight,] and martinez is on ancient legs.

i expect a fun fight, actually.

Washed up fighters don't win lineal titles typcially. Cotto isn't washed up. He's past prime, but there's a vast difference between washed up and past prime.
