Martinez's knees are shot and he's on the wrong side of 30, all the cards are in Cotto's favor. I'm not sure what the odds are but if I were a betting man I'd put money down on Cotto. He's faced the tougher competition in previous fights and has the added incentive of winning a 4th division title driving him.

The Trout that fought Rodriguez didn't look as good...i see Trout improved on a few key things. IMO, Cotto had a really good chance on beating him before he fought DR.

Sucks...it would have been a really good win for him.

I don't think Cotto took Trout at 100% honestly. I think he thought it was a tune-up. I think a Roach trained MC beats Trout, very clearly.

TR was always better at advising him who to fight as well. GBP is terrible at picking tune-ups for their fighters.

I thought about that too. Cotto beat DR in 3 rounds, tko, it took Trout 12 rounds to beat him by UD. Yeah, styles makes fights...but i can't ignore this...lol.

You might be right about a rematch. I'd love to see it. Great fight and Cotto avenges another loss....

If Cotto wanted a middleweight belt, he could have gone after Quillin. Props to Cotto for going after the real middleweight king. Should be a good promotion.
