  • Floyd/GGG at 154?? Floyd wouldn't even fight Canelo at 154.

    • Floyd beating GGG would be one of the most weightless wins of his career. Almost as weightless if he fought Khan. GGG hasn't done a damn thing at 160 let alone 154. He would be drained with no belt or significant wins at the weight. If GGG moved down, shown he's comfortable at the weight and won a title, I'm all for a Floyd fight. But we are talking about the most celebrated fighter of this era who's done absolutely nothing to warrant it.

These dudes are so thirsty to see Floyd lose that they can't even see what is right in front of them

What does Floyd have to gain from beating someone that doesn't even have a solid resume yet? Some E-props from the hardcore fans that actually know who GGG is?

Yeah, yeah keep telling yourself that buddy

You know damn well that GGG fight would be huge, he's one of the biggest star in boxing right nowm certainy bigger than Amir fuckin Khan.

You know that GGG is one of the two fighters that would cause problems to Floyd (the other one would be Lara, forget Pacquiao, he's never been a real threat to Mayweather IMO)

Lara would give him a really long night.

Golovkin would brutalize him and you know it.

Regardless of Mayweather fighting at 154lbs three times, he is essentially a welterweight fighting above his division (as was Jones Jr). He went into the Canelo fight at 150lbs. Pacquiao went into his fight against Marquez at 150lbs. Pacquiao's team wanted that Cotto fight, but walked from when he wouldn't play patsy again. Pacquiao had already beaten Cotto why not just fight under the weight limit and just come in as you are? Pacquiao would've been the same, 150lbs on fight night. Only Cotto would've been different and they didn't want that, which is fine by everyone. The trouble is, you can't make excuses for Pacquiao and detract from Mayweather at the same time.

It's obvious that Mayweather isn't as effective at 154lbs, much like Pacquiao wasn't, but yet people think he he could beat a middleweight coming down, who will be a middleweight when he hits that ring. That's some kind of compliment. Either way, every fight at 154lbs for Mayweather is him moving up becaused he's never weighed that much. Not on the scales and not in the ring, so stop being disingenuous about what fighting GGG means. Again, it'd be a guilty pleasure but if it doesn't happen, it's no big deal because Mayweather wouldn't be doing anything any current welterweight wouldn't do. If Mayweather decided to campaign at 154lbs from now on, and GGG decided to move down indefinitely, then he'd have some 'splainin to do.
I was praying, just like many others, that Manny would not fight Cotto as it would just be a money fight for Manny. No point of a fight for Manny! So please don't bring up that fight!

Sorry, you guys are just making excuses! So what you are saying is that
            - A 154 CHAMP, should avoid fighting another fighter at 154
            - The same fighter, can avoid his mandatory (Manny) at 147
            - Floyd though has every right to cherry pick everyone from 130-140 to take on Floyd after 0, 1 or max 2 fights at WW

              • I would rather see him fight Ward...but he needs to clean out the mw division first apparently, except to move down to fight Floyd

                  • The result and excuses will be just like the Canelo fight. No thanks, let GGG have some quality wins first. GGG doesn't even have a big enough fan base to entertain this fight.

Roberto Duran would use a guy like you back in the days. He'd be undefeated.

Thank God he had a balls instead of TMT t-shirt.
