Is anyone actually surprised? It was obvious from the beggining.
Anyway, who gives a shit, everybody know that there is only one Heavyweight champion of the world and he's name is Wladimir Klitschko.
Wilder can run but he can't hide.
This is how I see it too. Anyone who knows anything will consider Klistchko the man at heavyweight, he will probably get that WBC belt at some point too. Us finding out Wilder getting a shot at it now doesn't mean all much.
That's what they're saying about Jennings-Perez as well.
My su****ion is that they are eliminators, and the winners will meet for a final eliminator. But we'll see.
you could be right. perez\Jennings are #4 & #5. the WBO did that ****** move of moving leapai from #8 to #1 for pulling the upset. I think schaffer thinks wilder is a sure win against scott so he would be next in line as the #3. if scott wins the WBC may force scott to fight the winner of perez\Jennings before getting a title shot which would allow the arreola\stiverne winner make a voluntary first while they wait for the other fight to be sorted out. if stiverne wins the belt don king is in control again so anything could happen like a haye\stiverne fight in England. everything will be as schaffer says if wilder wins but everything changes if scott wins. I don't think he is in the WBC top 10. there is no clear picture yet...
Good for him. I wish him luck. Unless he fights By-By. Then I recant my luck wishing.

It does indeed. I don't really think Jennings is exciting though. The first 11 rounds of his last fight were incredibly boring.
The milking issue definitely comes into it, as HBO would probably weasel their way in to hype up a new american heavyweight champion fighting bum after bum.
You can be assured that none of them will be eager to take on Wlad that's for sure.
To be honest I don't get why Jennings/Szpilka would be boring. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Except I agree about the eleventh round. Neither guy threw a punch after the tenth.
I know stiverne and Areola are both american but neither are undefeated or have the potential hype trains these guys have.
Dafuq? He's Haitian Canadian...
On this topic, have no idea how beating Scott, who lost to Chisora, can be enough for a title shot but seeing as Leapai got one it shouldn't be too much of a surprise. However, the difference is, Leapai beat the #1 contender, Scott isn't even in the top 15 of the WBC... the real thing they should do is as mentioned make a final eliminator between the winnings of Jennings v Perez and Wilder-Scott, but an eliminator with the winner of Fury v Chisora would be more credible than Jennings-Perez; less proven guys. However, as those guys are fighting it out to be WBO mandatory it won't happen.
In any case, Wilder probably won't get past Stiverne or Arreola let alone get the opportunity to be schooled by Wlad.

Everybody knows that Malik got cheated in that fight with Chisora. That ref was bias as hell.

His own fault TBH for waiting so long to get up, it was debatable - to say the least - that he was ready to fight at the end of the count, he was maybe up but not walking towards the ref or looking completely fine. Clearly, there was always going to be bias for the home fighter...again Scott's fault for not anticipating that. Anyway, I didn't see him pushing particularly hard for a rematch either...
Furthermore, Scott is a slick and decent boxer but with no power and no real star quality, he's almost like Wilder in terms of bum fights except he isn't knocking them out and has been a pro a lot longer. Even if Scott had managed to beat Chisora, I don't think a win over him would be good enough for a title shot. Saying that, we know how boxing is at the moment and you don't always get what you deserve (in a good or bad sense) so it's not particularly surprising.
