Deontay Wilder to get WBC title shot with win on March 15

I know you hate the Klitschko's but could you stick to the topic? Gets a bit boring you know if you always try to somehow spin everything towards a fault or event by them or whatever.
Chisora is known as a tough guy who has a pressure style which causes opponents an uncomfortable fight, but he's not exactly anything special and has no real dangerous KO power for the top guys. Likely he is destined to be a gatekeeper of the division, with a claim to fame of giving some top fighters 'hard nights'. A win over him on Scott's resume would not particularly improve it to a title challenger extent, bearing in mind the 30+ bums he fought before that, except maybe Glazkov although he's nothing special at the moment either and that was a draw. To then go and lose v Chisora, in his first fight abroad (I think?) v a guy who's been in there with the top, albeit lose, shows him up as nothing special at all. Hence, a win over him for Wilder is not deserving of a title shot.
In relation to Wlad-Chisora, the past is the past, but for the sake of it, let's look back - Wlad and Chisora was definitely planned and pretty much set up as far as I remember, but on one occasion Wlad had an abdominal injury if I recall which required some surgery, then he clearly took the Haye option instead as that's where the money and demand was... and afterwards - why would he fight him if he was coming off losses to domestic level Fury (at the time), a wide points loss to Vitali, a robbery yet still loss v Helenius and a KO v Haye? Who is/was demanding that fight to happen (REALLY)? Now, sure, most of the contenders are gone and some may say Chisora could be a good shot based on the 'potential' of his style causing Wlad an 'uncomfortable fight'...let him work his way up again, like he is doing. If Chisora gets that WBO mandatory by beating Fury and then Wlad ducks him, then you can say that's a legit duck.Last edited by PainfromUkraine; 01-31-2014, 01:26 PM.Comment
