I think Ortiz needs to retire. The guy is done as far as being an elite boxer. I am the same age as this guy, but his boxing career is so disappointing.

He didn't even turn the shot over. It was well timed but hardly devastating.

i think victor needs to say I QUIT point blank after a fight for some people to get a clue. "it was a perfect shot! you aren't fighters. he'll be back i swear!" lol

He was expected to have no problems at all in this fight and should have been an easy comeback fight.
You talking about the same Collazo? I never though he was a bum. Always solid boxer, good power. This was never going to be an easy fight for Ortiz. Never. Wouldn't be easy for any WW. Why do you think Collazo has been avoided so much in recent years?

Collazo wasn't a bum, he was a good solid contender like 5-6 years ago.

But today's version? Hasn't done anything since he loss to Berto in 2009.

He doesn't have "Good" power, he has decent power, at very best. He's far far far from a hard puncher.

The guy was beaten comfortably by Freddy Hernandez a few years ago. Freddy Hernandez.

You're telling me that today's Collazo wouldn't be an easy fight for any WW today yet he was a pretty easy fight for Freddy Hernandez.

            Get with reality.

I guess we have a new poster boy for the term "One Hitter Quiter" hahahahaha. Better yet, he sould just change his name to Victor "One Hit and I Quit" Ortiz.

That's b.s. 2 punches BEHIND the head, after a perfect shot to the jaw, and he somehow 'quit'. And for some reason, you as a pro would have no problem with fans saying you were a bum. Wow, you are seriously delusional.

I've ripped on Ortiz in the past but tonight I'll be nice and admit I would have gone down from that shot. Thanks for the memories of some fun fights and I hope he finds success outside of the ring. Also BIG props to Collazo. A nice win he deserves. Unfortunately he'll prolly be feed to Thurman but it's nice to see him have his moment.

Glad you think so. And glad you didn't get hit with it. You should be too. That was a serious punch, and 2 shots behind the head.

Oh I'm good friends reality. You, not so much. We sure will see with the next few fights with Collazo now won't we? Every fighter has ups and downs, and Collazo has not been silent since the Berto fight. The Hernandez fight was the only loss since Berto. But I guess that too is easy to forget.
