If you can't do what Freddie Hernandez can do then just retire.
Check the boxingscene staff predictions. Most were expecting a tough fight and a couple of them picked Collazo. Personally I thought it was going to be close fight where Ortiz would win a close decision, or they'd rob Collazo with a draw. A Collazo KO was one I was not expecting...unless Ortiz's jaw gave way.

If his jaw isn't damaged, he can get back in the game imo. He reminded me of Hatton v Senchenko, his timing was off.

Jesus man, Ortiz is done. What a disaster. He's out of the picture for good.

Well he's only fought bums since Berto, including Hernadez and lost to him soundly.

He hasn't even looked good in most of his wins against bums.

To think that Collazo at this stage of his career would give any WW a tough fight is ridiculous. Like I said, a better version of him lost comfortably to Hernandez who's frankly awful.

First off, cong**** to Collazo, hopefully this gives the old time vet a decent payday before he retires.

As for Victor, he goes in the books with names like Kwame Brown, Jamarcus Russell, Tim Beckham, etc.

I remember when he hit the pro ranks people predicted him to be Manny Pacquaio'ish...a rare dynamic combination of power and speed...once he got the head gear off and the smaller gloves, his power and speed would be too much for others to deal with. They made the assumption that being Mexican he had that mexican beard and do or die mentality. As it turns out, he would have benefitted from wearing the head gear and 20 ounce gloves his entire career.

Hopefully he saved some of his earnings and I don't catch him driving an ice cream truck in Oxnard 5 years from now.

And yeah Collazo was good and beat Berto, like 6 or something years ago.

He was soundly beaten by Freddy ****ing Hernadez a few fights ago. Yes, Freddy Hernandez.

IMO Ortiz quit again he got hit with a decent shot but it wasn't a killer shot.

I was definitely wrong in predicting this fight. I'm pretty upset, but it's nice to see Collazo get a big win that he deserves.

His jaw is already damaged! And it's permanently damaged! He had it surgically repaired. Usually when that kind of thing happens, it will never be like before. And let's say for instance he got it fixed by a mediocre doctor? That would make matters even worse.

But yeah, that jaw will always be a question mark.

I dont care if u punch like Paulie its the punches u never see that do the damage. It sends a shock through your body/brain and your equilibrium goes corky. Was the dude a hard puncher? Maybe not but all his body weight was behind it a long with a good turn of the hips. It would have rocked a lot of fighters. SO please u wannabes stop saying that wouldn't hurt any other fighter u guys are just ******s.

Idk who all has been hit by 8 OZ gloves or even 10 OZ but it hurts. Ive taken my licks and id be a idiot to say that shot wouldn't hurt.

On a side note I believe Ortiz could have at least attempted to beat the count and took the 60 sec rest to see where he was before calling it.
Thank you. Short hook he didnt see landed right on the button and w/ a repaired jaw...but i guess everyone has a right to their opinion.
