Bob is right. Plus I would prefer to watch boxing every weekend then have 4 major stacked cards with month long lags in between.

Same thing happened at the party I was at. Just as many people watched that fight only because the actual boxing fans there, about 4 of us, told everyone about it.Originally posted by QballLoboBob is pretty much right. When I watched the Canelo/Floyd fight at a friends house no one was really watching the undercards. The only reason people watched the Garcia/Lucas fight was because I was hyping it up when I got there. Whenever I throw a fight party there is usually a mad rush right before the main event starts.

You've reiterated this in a number of threads. I don't exactly undertsand what you are getting at.
No one said he had to put more stars on an undercard. I and other posters said better fights. It would benefit him as a businessman because his company would be seen as one that gives you good value for your dollar-which helps keeps customers, not drive them away.
You are also someone who foolishly (moreso hatefully) argues that the biggest draw in the sport benefits from having big names on his undercards. Now you are agreeing with bob. if IYO it helps floyd then it should surely help TR fighters.
Perhaps you should make up your mind and then post again.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 01-31-2014, 10:57 AM.Comment

The problem with that is if you do it this way-you will have substandard ratings for the cards with less popular fighters. Since ratings drives what you see on TV, you would be hurting your long term chnaces of having boxing on every week.
However, if you do quality triple and doubleheaders and don't over saturate the TV, you will ensure long term that you get to see quality shows.Comment

We get roughly the same thread every time TR puts up another garbage undercard. Manny fans saying they want bad undercards and it proves Pacman is the best biggest star, everyone else just begging Bob to give us at least 1 semi-respectable fight on the undercard for our money.Comment

I don't remember myself or anyone I know ever receiving a survey asking them if they watch the undercard fights of a ppv or not, so how does Bob know that 90% of people don't care about them.Comment

For a long time Arum was the biggest show in town so casual fans got used to undercards sucking. They have been conditioned to not show up to their seats or pay attention to their tv's until the main event.
But it shouldn't be that way. Don King proved that you can be successful by putting on stacked cards. And lately Golden Boy has been doing the same not just on ppv but also on regular Showtime broadcasts.
As a boxing fan I know which I prefer. We should reward the promoters who give us more for our money and punish the ones who give us less.Comment

easy solution, dont buy any of TR's fight. why act like the undercard is what determine if u'll buy the fight or not? stop fronting. We get roughly the same thread every time TR puts up another garbage undercard.
