He just should have fought manny, not re-upped and became a free agent like cotto,, He could still do fights with Top rank, but he could also get the floyd fight or GBP fighters like broner, maidana, khan, thurman, ghost, etc

None of those fighters at GB are making anything close to 6 million! Floyd last few opponents only made about 2.5mil - 3mil except for Canelo who made more. Broner & Maidana mad a little over a 1 million facing each other! There's no money to be made off of Porter & Thurman because he's the new kid on the block. Khan is not even worth it! Guerrero is about to be screwed over by GB because he tried to leave. Broner has his own problems! Fighting those guys will only get Bradley a little over a million bucks per fight unless he fights Floyd which will only get him about 3 million. He's getting 6 million guaranteed plus more for PPV buys.

all of what ur saying and the guy u quoted is a big "IF", top rank is saying they guarantee bradley that he will make this amount. why risk it when u know for sure what u'll be getting if u stay with TR?

But you have to be honest-every fighter of tim stature that has left TR has gotten the big fights. Why would it be any different for Tim?

But then there's no guaranteed money, and promoters aren't gonna want Bradley to beat their top guy, and then go off to a different promotion.

Cotto isn't really a threat to top guys, and he brings $$$, regardless of the match up.

Seriously, I like Bradley the person not his boxing style but he has a great heart. WHY would you sign an extension if they were not forcing it on you? If you were going to get the Pac fight AND lets say you beat Pac then you would be open to offers from other promoters AND Top Rank would definetly OFFER even more to keep you! You would have SO MUCH going for you.
The ONLY reason I can think of that he signed an extension is that by signing he gets $6 million, by not signing he gets much less.
Now lets say he doesn't sign an extension and loses to Pac. Well, that would be it for him. If he loses now that he signed, that's it for him also BUT he will be $6 million richer.

those fighters that left TR aint gonna get shiiet if they stay anyways so its best they move along, with tim he is getting a guarantee amount and once pac is gone tim will be the star. those guys that left top rank were at the end of their career they aint gonna be making shiiet. and why would tim leave TR just for a possible fight with floyd when he's making about the same fighting pac? to be honest i dont even think tim will see 6mil if he was to fight floyd. floyd cares so much about what the other guy brings to the table, is tim a draw?

Im not going to try and debate too much on this,, i totally understand your points,,
I just think if he could have gotten the manny fight without the resign, that would leave bradley more options, especially if you consider he could get the manny payday either way,,,
I think i would have wanted to become a free agent and look at some other deals, at least see what GBP and floyd offer, before resigning with Top Rank,, who knows what GBP would have offered

once again that is all a big "IF", are u not seeing the picture here?? tim is getting a guarantee amount if he stays with TR and possibly will make more in the future. why would tim risk losing all this? yes if tim was to leave maybe he'll make more but its a big maybe, at this point i think tim feels he cant take that risk. everyone here is qyick to voice their opinion but if u were in tim's situation and the offer was presented to u, u'll prolly take it too.
