show fights were garbage, only decent one was charlo/rosado. jean(a nobody) vs peterson(a fake steroid using champ) was competive because both are horrible.

how do you figure? neither of the 4 on showtime are even in the p4p discussions and jennings is the best american heavyweight we have so far who fought a crafty undefeated hw.

you mean to tell me that showtime had better fights last year when hbo had fight of the year, round of the year and ko of the year?

Anyways...the "cold war" needs to come to an end! Golden Boy's stable would wreck Top Rank! A lot of great matches await us.
cold war does need to come to an end. its bs!

Matthysse-Peterson did 472,800 average viewers for reference.

Really? That's pretty bad considering it wasn't up against an HBO show. Was it the main or was Alexander?

I agree they need to learn from this and stop scheduling on the same night. Both their numbers were down from the previous year. Back in the day, they had somewhat respect for this. Thankfully, we have DVR's now or us fans would really be getting screwed.

It sucks for the network good for fans though, we get quality cards to watch. If things don't improve though we'll have HBO style cards on SHO and ...it'll be abysmal.

SHO needs to stop thinking they can go head to head with HBO on the same night cuz they will get blown out 9 times outta 10

They should also get a refund on that Floyd contract and donate that money to Africa

Doesn't HBO have 33% more subscribers than Showtime?

Anyway, I switched back and forth all the way up to like the 5th or 6th round of Peterson-Jean when I just watched Garcia-Burgos up to I think the 9th round I stopped watching both. That was very strange because I never just stop watching fights like that. I even saw Rigo-Agbeko in its entirety.
