Mikey is not much of a draw, his undercards are usually stacked with a very popular fighter like Donaire, or in this card Spilka that will bring the the bulk of the viewers

HBO only has 22% more viewers, they shouldnt be doubling sho numbers, especially with a rather low ratings card

Spizka was more responsible for the crowd during his fight. Usually the Polish community in NY/north jersey supports Polish fighters at the house show.

Mikey is more well known than Petersen. In addition to his headlining cards last year HBO did a 2 days on him which also raised his profile. HBO also did a much better job of promoting the fight. Frankly, I had almost forgotten the Petersen card was on sho.

22% more subscribers is 5-7 million more people. Of this pool, surely more will be boxing fans since HBO has been the #1 network (regular or cable) for boxing.

They need to stop scheduling cards the same night. Now neither has any card scheduled for February.

Its been like this for many years. And its not necessarily the reason there is no cards for Feb. A lot of factors go into establishing a fight date (figther availability, venue availability, legal, etc)
